Acceptance of Terms
By subscribing to, accessing, or using any service offered by BANDWIDTH (trading as Bandwidth Meals), including our website at bandwidthmeals.com and our customer dashboard, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time with notice provided via email or in-app announcement.
Service Description
BANDWIDTH provides a monthly tiffin subscription service — home-cooked meals prepared fresh daily and delivered to your registered address within the Newtown–Kolkata region.
- Plans available: Basic and Improved, across Lunch, Dinner, or Both slots
- Meal types: Omnivore (Halal chicken), Egg-vore, Vegetarian
- Delivery area: Within approximately 7 km of our kitchen in Krishnapur, Newtown, Kolkata
- Delivery days: Monday through Saturday (Sunday off by default; holiday schedules announced in advance)
Subscription & Pricing
- Subscriptions are billed on a monthly cycle, paid in advance before the delivery cycle begins.
- Pricing starts at ₹94 per meal for the Basic plan. Current pricing is always displayed on our website and dashboard before payment.
- We reserve the right to revise pricing with a minimum of 7 days' prior notice via email or in-app announcement. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change affects their renewal.
- Founding customers (subscribed before the public launch of bandwidthmeals.com) retain their legacy pricing as long as their subscription remains active and uninterrupted.
- All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes. BANDWIDTH is currently not registered under GST.
Payment
- Payments are processed securely through Razorpay or Zaakpay (Mobikwik), depending on the active gateway at the time of payment.
- BANDWIDTH does not store your card details, UPI PIN, or any sensitive payment credentials. All payment data is handled exclusively by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processors.
- Your subscription activates only after successful payment confirmation. In the event of a payment failure, your subscription will not be activated or renewed until a successful payment is received.
- Payment receipts and transaction records are available on your dashboard at all times.
Delivery
- Meals are delivered to the address registered in your dashboard profile.
- Approximate delivery windows: Lunch — 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, Dinner — 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Exact times may vary due to traffic, weather, or order volume.
- You are responsible for ensuring your delivery address is accurate and accessible. BANDWIDTH is not liable for missed deliveries due to incorrect or inaccessible addresses provided by you.
- If you are unavailable at delivery time, the meal may be left at your door, building lobby, or a designated spot. BANDWIDTH is not responsible for meals left unattended at your request.
Skip Days & Rollover Meals
- You may skip a meal slot by submitting a skip request through your dashboard before 10:00 PM on the previous night.
- Skipped meals are automatically rolled over — they are added back to your meal count for the current or next cycle.
- Skip requests submitted after the 10:00 PM cut-off cannot be accommodated. In such cases, the meal will be prepared and dispatched as normal.
- Repeated last-minute skip patterns may be flagged and discussed with the subscriber.
Pausing & Cancellation
- Pausing: You may request to pause your subscription by contacting us. Pausing takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Deliveries already dispatched or planned for the current cycle cannot be paused retroactively.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. However, no cash refund will be issued for the current active cycle. Please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details.
- Reactivation: A paused subscription can be reactivated subject to kitchen capacity and delivery area availability at that time.
Temporary Address Changes
- You may request a temporary delivery address change (within our delivery zone) at least 24 hours in advance through your dashboard.
- Temporary address changes outside our delivery zone cannot be accommodated.
- Permanent address changes must be updated in your profile and are subject to delivery zone verification.
User Conduct
By using our service, you agree not to:
- Provide false personal information at signup or during any communication with us.
- Attempt to access other customers' accounts or data.
- Abuse the skip, rollover, or referral systems through fraudulent activity.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse our delivery staff or support team.
- Use our platform for any unlawful purpose.
BANDWIDTH reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account found in violation of these terms, without prior notice and without refund.
Intellectual Property
All content on bandwidthmeals.com — including logos, recipes, photographs, text, and software — is the property of BANDWIDTH (trading as Bandwidth Meals) and is protected under applicable Indian intellectual property laws. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is strictly prohibited.
Limitation of Liability
BANDWIDTH's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with our service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the current monthly subscription cycle.
We are not liable for:
- Delays caused by traffic, weather, civil unrest, or other circumstances beyond our control.
- Allergic reactions arising from undisclosed dietary restrictions not communicated to us at the time of subscription.
- Loss or damage resulting from your failure to maintain the security of your account credentials.
- Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages of any kind.
Force Majeure
BANDWIDTH shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performance of its obligations where such failure or delay results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, floods, fire, pandemic, government orders, bandhs, strikes, or prolonged power outages. In such cases, affected meal slots will be credited to your account as rollover meals wherever feasible.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of West Bengal, India.
